The history

This match is held in memory of a former member of the Braintree Sea Angling Club - Gerry Armstrong.  Gerry was an Honorary Life Member of Braintree S.A.C. He was a member of the Club for over 25 years and had held the position of Chairman. His love of fishing, particularly boat fishing, was well known to his fellow club members. Sadly, Gerry passed away in December 2002 aged 88, just 3 months after his last trip.
